What People say after the first week.
We shaped VEIL through real-world testing & feedback from the people who use it every day.
Here's what they tell us.
“Veil changed the game, no strange looks just smooth exhales and buzzing through the day without the weird glances 😂”
@PenjaminPete,
Vape Connoisseur
“I like to keep my habits to myself. Living in an apartment has made that tough especially being a stay at home mom. This thing allows me to enjoy myself without the headache or the ‘hiding’.”

Discretion, Engineered.
VEIL is a premium personal air filter for smokers and vapers who want a more discreet way to handle exhaled smoke and vapor.
It's the sploof we wanted to buy and couldn't find. So we built it.
No sprays. No cover-ups.
Just a purpose-built filtration system inside an aluminum body that feels solid in your hand and breathes easy when you exhale.
It slides into a car console or a jacket pocket without looking like something you need to explain.
What is a Sploof, & what makes VEIL different?
A sploof is a handheld filter you exhale into. Smoke or vapor passes through filter material before reaching the surrounding room.
A properly functioning filter can help reduce visible exhale and lingering odor.
You'll also hear it called a smoke catcher or a personal smoke filter. Same idea, different names.
The first sploofs were homemade: a tube, a few dryer sheets, a rubber band.
VEIL keeps the idea and replaces everything else. The filter is a sealed, multi-stage cartridge with activated carbon media instead of scented sheets.
The body is aluminum instead of cardboard or thin plastic.
When the filter is spent, you swap the cartridge and keep the device.
How VEIL works
Step 1 — Exhale Into VEIL
Exhale naturally into the mouthpiece. The one-way airflow system moves your breath forward into the replaceable filter cartridge and keeps it traveling in one direction.
Step 2 — Advanced Filtration
Inside the cartridge, exhaled air passes through several filtration materials. Activated carbon helps reduce odor-causing compounds in the exhale. Its surface contains microscopic pores that absorb certain odor-causing compounds as air passes through the media.

Step 3 — Filtered Exhaust
Filtered air leaves through the wide-flow exhaust grate, helping reduce visible vapor and lingering odor during normal use. Performance varies depending on the material, exhale volume, frequency of use and cartridge condition.
Built From Aluminum.
Designed to Be Reused.
A Body You Keep
The housing is aluminum, and it's reusable. Only the cartridge gets replaced. You keep the device and swap the filter when needed.
Easy to Exhale Through
We designed VEIL for comfortable airflow during a normal exhale.
As a cartridge becomes spent, airflow may begin to feel more restricted. That's one sign it's time for a fresh filter.
Nothing to Charge, Nothing Perfumed
There's nothing to plug in and no battery to die mid-evening.
There's also no added fragrance. VEIL filters your exhale instead of covering it with a scent that announces itself.
Small Enough to Disappear
A handheld, portable smoke filter that's compact and travel-ready.
It fits in a bag, a console or a nightstand drawer.
Replaceable Cartridges.
Built for Repeat Use.
Every VEIL uses the same replaceable sploof filter: a multi-stage cartridge built specifically for VEIL. Filter life varies depending on frequency of use, exhale volume, material used and cartridge condition.
Filter Cartridge Pricing
Single cartridge: $19.99, for occasional use

Help Keep Your Cartridge Ready
After an especially heavy session, remove the cartridge and allow it to air-dry before the next session. Air-dry only. Never wash or rinse the cartridge.
Know When to Swap It
Two common signs indicate it's time for a fresh cartridge: airflow begins to feel restricted, or odor and visible vapor begin coming through more noticeably.
Swap It in Seconds
Remove the bottom cap, slide out the used cartridge, drop in a fresh one and reattach the cap. No tools, no cleaning, no charging.
Designed for Real Life.
VEIL goes where you go. Here's where people tell us it earns its place.
Apartments and Condos
Shared walls, shared vents and hallways can make lingering odors more noticeable.
VEIL routes your exhale through its filter before the air returns to the room, helping reduce visible exhale and lingering odor.

Vaping
With vapes, the visible cloud can be just as noticeable as the smell.
VEIL works as a personal filter for exhaled vapor too. Exhaled vapor passes through the cartridge before returning to the room, helping reduce the visible cloud and lingering odor.

Lounges and Private Spaces
Some spaces are yours, but the air is shared. A studio or guest room can hold onto odor long after you leave.

Why We Built VEIL.
VEIL started with a simple problem.
The disposable sploofs we tried weren't what we wanted to keep using.
We believed there was room for something better: a filter that performs well, feels premium in your hand and fits into everyday life without drawing attention.
So we spent months on the details.
We refined the cartridge system, tested filter materials and adjusted the airflow until exhaling through VEIL felt natural.
The result is a product built for discretion and designed to last. And we're not finished.
VEIL is a platform, not a one-off. We keep improving it based on what our customers tell us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it hard to exhale through VEIL?
VEIL is designed for comfortable airflow during a normal exhale. If exhaling begins to feel noticeably more restricted, that can be a sign the cartridge is due for replacement.
Who can buy VEIL?
VEIL is for adults 21 and older.
How long does a VEIL
cartridge last?
Cartridge life varies depending on how often you use it, exhale volume, material used and cartridge condition. Replace the cartridge when airflow begins to feel restricted or when odor and visible vapor start coming through more noticeably.
How do I care for my cartridge?
After an especially heavy session, remove the cartridge and allow it to air-dry before the next session. Air-dry only. Don't wash, rinse or try to refill it.
Does VEIL work with smoke
as well as vapor?
VEIL is designed to filter smoke and vapor that is exhaled directly through the device. You exhale into the mouthpiece and the cartridge filters the exhale before it exits VEIL. Performance varies depending on the material, exhale volume and cartridge condition. VEIL does not capture smoke produced directly by a burning cigarette, cigar or other source. VEIL itself doesn't burn or heat anything, so there's no combustion inside the device and nothing to light.

What is a sploof?
A sploof is a handheld filter you exhale into, so smoke or vapor passes through filter material before reaching the room. It's also called a smoke catcher or personal smoke filter. VEIL is a premium, reusable sploof: an aluminum body with a replaceable activated-carbon cartridge inside, designed to help reduce visible vapor and lingering odor.
Is VEIL portable?
Yes. VEIL is a handheld smoke filter sized to travel. It fits in a bag, a car console or a jacket pocket, and there's no cord or power source to bring along.
How do I replace the cartridge?
Remove the bottom cap, slide out the used cartridge, insert a new one and reattach the cap. It takes seconds and needs no tools.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within the United States. Replacement cartridges on qualifying orders ship free anywhere in the US.
Can I wash or refill the cartridge?
No. The aluminum housing is reusable, but the cartridge is designed to be replaced once it's spent. Washing or rinsing it can damage the filter media.
Does VEIL need charging
or batteries?
No. Nothing plugs in and nothing needs a battery. The filtration is entirely passive. Your exhale moves the air through the cartridge.
